Creating the brand identity for a mother and baby yoga teacher
About The Project
Kamala Mama is the yoga practice of mother and baby yoga specialist, Hannah Soutar. A new venture for Hannah, she came to me in need of a logo that represented the name ‘Kamala’ and that would appeal to her target audience of mums with young babies.
Deliverables
‘Kamala’ is the yogi name that Hannah was given by the yoga instructor that taught her. It means ‘lotus’ in Sanskrit. With this in mind, I created an abstract logomark based on the shape of a lotus flower. For the brand name, I used a soft, slim typeface that nicely compliments the mark and created several lockups of the two that can be used depending on the application.
